NAQEZ Makes Submission to the proposed Free Education Bill

The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Education to present its submission to the proposed Free Education Bill.
NAQEZ welcomed the government’s move to anchor free education in law, calling it a historic step toward protecting access for all Zambian learners. The organization stressed that legislation will shield the policy from future reversals and ensure every child, regardless of background, enjoys the right to education.
In its submission, NAQEZ called on Parliament to legally guarantee minimum budget allocations for free education to thrive.
