NAQEZ Definition of Quality Education

Quality education is delivered by well-qualified and motivated teachers and enables learners to acquire relevant skills, competencies, knowledge, values, and experiences that meet societal needs. It promotes critical thinking, creativity, innovation, problem-solving, and prepares learners for active global citizenship and meaningful employment.

Message from the
Executive Director, Dr. Aaron Chansa

2025 has been extraordinary in many respects. This year, NAQEZ turned 10 years. The anniversary was powerfully hosted and the event brought great memories. The ceremony also reminded all of us about the solemn duty and commitment to the campaign for quality education.

2025 provided a platform for NAQEZ to work with various national, regional, continental and global partners. We engaged; we hosted events and spoke when it mattered most. We participated and spoke at several national and international engagements. We remained true to ourselves-Trusted Champions of quality education in Zambia.

We faced serious challenges but God protected us and gave us a way out. The organization is now more resilient, intelligent and focused on influencing policies for quality education in Zambia.

Looking back into 2025, it is important for me to thank the following partners that worked with us while others supported us financially and otherwise: Global Partnership for Education[GPE], AMPLIFY CHANGE, GEAR Alliance, People in Need, Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection, The European Union ,CIVICUS, ZANEC, UNESCO, various Government ministries and departments, various CSOs, the media, teacher unions, MQHZ, CBZ, ZEIC, TPZ, ZTF, Teachers Parliament, MORETA and members of the public.

I want to end by thanking the NAQEZ Board for the unwavering support, NAQEZ management, members and teachers of Zambia for the massive support to NAQEZ in 2025.This support was the major driving force for the work we did. Thank you all and God may bless the Republic of Zambia.
