Today , Joseph Muchindu, a towering figure in education circles , clocks 32 years of extraordinary service to the nation .This is not a mean feat.His name is well known in the teaching profession mainly for his unique passion for quality education , standing up for teachers and promotion of gender equality in Zambia and the #SADC region .

Beyond the classroom and office work , Muchindu is one of the founder members of #NAQEZ. Through this organization,the man has fearlessly championed more funding to the education sector, more computers in schools , a progressive education curriculum, more desks ,text books, against exam leakages and a motivated teaching force . Without men like him , #NAQEZ would not have become the formidable international voice that it has become.

Working with the women’s movement in Zambia, Joseph Muchindu has travelled the nation and Africa in search of gender equality.Because of his commitment for equality,he is now a life member of the Zambia National Women’s Lobby. His love for teachers motivated him to serve Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) from school level up to Provincial level as Provincial Secretary.

On behalf of #NAQEZ, I would like to thank God for giving us this man of exceptional courage and practical love for humanity. I pray
