NAQEZ Participates in the 8NDP Validation Process

On the 28th of March 2022, NAQEZ joined CSOs, the Government, Co-operating Partners, Academia and Manufacturers in drafting the 8th National Development Plan Validation. In attendance was The Secretary of the Cabinet, Mr. Patrick Kangwa, who, in his speech, stressed the importance of assigning high level processes as the validation, the much-needed seriousness due to it. NAQEZ Executive Director, Mr. Aaron Chansa thereafter noted the shrinking allocation of national funds to education, sitting at 10.4% in 2022 instead of the agreed 20% threshold for SADC Member States. Ultimately, the delegates collectively validated the 8th National Development Plan and the Draft 8th NDP would be then presented to Cabinet for approval.
